Free Tax Preparation
Filing your state and federal taxes is easy and simple! If you make $66,000 or less, you qualify to have your taxes prepared for free! You can file your taxes in two different ways:
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
[VITA] The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a cooperative effort by the Internal Revenue Service and many individual states, including Utah, to provide income tax assistance to low-income individuals.
If your household income is $55,000 or less, you qualify to have your taxes prepared for free at a VITA site. Volunteers are trained by the IRS to prepare basic income tax returns free of charge.
